MY DEC 2013 BALI TRIP

I'm finally going to blog about my Bali trip last year. It's the first trip I ever planned, and single-handedly too. I got so stressed out about exams I desperately wanted an escape and to feel the accomplishment of planning a trip. At least that would make me feel useful. Grades seem to be everything, or so they say.

Alright! Only had under a week to plan in between studying for my papers, it was a stressful de-stress session, cause I'm stressed planning the 3d2n trip but actually enjoying it. HAH, contradictions.

This was a trip for two. My bf and I split the whatever money we pooled into this evenly.

2 important things:

Flight

Having no prior experience to booking flights, I just googled the few budget carriers in Singapore I knew: AirAsia, Tiger Airways, JetStar.. I picked AirAsia in the end cause there was a promo going on.

I opted for no check-in luggage and meal options but chose assigned seats... even though I really didn't want to fork the $3 per seat for it :( it seemed like they just wanted to suck my money.

Flight for round trip from SIN to DPS(Denpasar Airport) cost $296 for us both. So it would be $148 each.

Accommodation

I love Airbnb! Found an accommodation for $185 for 3d2n. BUT I actually found a cheaper option in Expedia! $157.74 for 2 nights with breakfast. I REGRET the breakfast option. Though I love that it took only a few steps for us to reach the lobby/bar of the hotel and watching the staff prepare breakfast for us.

THIS IS THE VIEW from our bed.

I could literally step outside and one more step would land me right into the pool. Not that it's dangerous as there's still space for you to tread on. HAHA just want to convey
how convenient it is.

Some of the indonesian snacks we had.
